IQ Builders Ltd.

IQ Builders has been serving Northern BC since 2005. The principle owners of the company has been working in the construction industry in the local region for the past 30 years. We are a small general contracting firm which has a core of dedicated employees to serve our clients.  We are committed to complete each project as efficiently as possible, yet not sacrifice quality.

Ken Sasaki and Mike Herman, principals of the company is committed to each and every project undertaken by the company and strive to give the clients their product in a timely manner. It is not our intentions to become the largest contracting firm in town, it is our intentions to commit ourselves to a few projects at a time, and give the client personal attention from the principals of the company.

Combined, the principals of the company provide the clients over 60 years of construction experience. Ken Sasaki has been in the management and office operations of the industry since 1981, Project management and as various levels of estimator with Gold Seal Certification.  Mike Herman has been working in the industry since 1976, a qualified carpenter with TQ and red seal. Ken Sasaki manages the office and project. Mike Herman manages the construction site, and work force.

Previous Projects

Northern Health Authority, Community Care Center

The phase two of the Highland community Center was renovation 12000 sf of old elementary school to a usable office space for Northern health. Completed during the 2009/2010 year, the value of the contract was 1.1 million dollars.

TRU – Gathering Place, Williams Lake

The project is a part of the university in Williams Lake, used by the first nation and community as a gathering place facilities, The project being a LEED’s, was challenging and well worth the effort. The post and beam construction building hosts a live roof, its well-insulated and half buried building leaves very little for a carbon footprint. Built during 2009 and 2010, the project was in the value of $810, 000.00

Tupper Gas Plant

We received an opportunity to partake on the forming contract for the new gas plant outside of Dawson creek, Completing the project in under 49 days, we worked 7 days a week to complete our $600, 000 forming contract in 2010.
Smithers Community Cancer Care, Completed in 2010 the project was to revitalize and completely renovate a section of the existing facility in the Buckley Valley Regional Hospital. The project was completed on time and on budget of $200,000.00
